In 1948, the sons of Joseph and Carmela Stavola founded
Stavola Contracting Co., the first Stavola company. Today, Stavola Companies remain a family-owned and operated business, consisting of four major divisions: Asphalt and Recycling Materials, Construction Materials, Contracting and Real Estate, all located in New Jersey. What started as a company offering basement excavation and driveway paving now has two quarries, 10 asphalt plants, 3 recycling centers, and several gravel mining operations which has let Stavola expand their production to over 6 million tons annually. The Stavola Asphalt Company utilizes the latest paving technology at its various asphalt plant locations, no matter if it is a small private job or a large public project; the company is capable of any lay-down capacity. Stavola Asphalt offers the Superpave mix designs required by the New Jersey Department of Transportation. The company also provides a large variety of construction aggregates to residential and commercial developments. In addition, their recycling plants are DEP-approved and are conveniently located adjacent to the Tinton Falls Asphalt Plant, the Old Bridge plant, and the Bound Brook quarry. |

located in Bound Brook has easy access to Route 287, Route 22, The
Garden State Parkway, and the New Jersey Turnpike.
Also, the Old Wick quarry is conveniently located off of Route 78. These sites have state-of-the-art crushing plants. Stavola’s customers include individual homeowners, general contractors, commercial and private developers, utility contractors, and state, county and municipal agencies. |
