In 1948, the sons of Joseph and Carmela Stavola founded Stavola Contracting Co., the first Stavola company. Today, Stavola Companies remain a family-owned and operated business, consisting of four major divisions: Asphalt and Recycling Materials, Construction Materials, Contracting and Real Estate, all located in New Jersey.Stavola Companies production facilities are four quarries, eight asphalt plants, three recycling centers, and gravel mining operations which has let Stavola expand their production to over 6 million tons of construction products annually. The Bridgwater and Tinton Falls facilities contain New Jersey’s largest drum and batch plants.

Stavola Asphalt Company utilizes the latest technology at our eight asphalt plants, no matter if it is a small private job or a large public project; Stavola is capable of any lay-down capacity.
Stavola Asphalt offers mix designs required by the New Jersey Department of Transportation and New York Department of Transportation as well as a full line of hot mix asphalt (HMA), warm mix asphalt (WMA) and speciality mixes.

The expert staff at Stavola Construction Materials Co., Inc. offers the highest quality aggregates available including crushed stone, sand, gravel, fill materials, rip rap and jetty stone. SCMI aggregates are approved by the New Jersey and New York Departments of Transportation. Stavola Construction Materials will work with you to coordinate material delivery if needed.

SCMI jetty rocks have been approved by the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers for use on beach front replenishment projects. Whether your project involves building a home or constructing a major highway, SCMI delivers the same renowned, quality products and excellent service as it has since 1977.

SCMI quarries are located in Bound Brook NJ, Tewksbury NJ, Lafayette NJ, & Good Spring PA with easy access to Interstate Route 287, Route 22, the Garden State Parkway and the New Jersey Turnpike, as well as Oldwick, NJ, located off of Interstate 78. These sites have state-of-the-art crushing plants. Stavola customers include general contractors, commercial and private developers, utility contractors and state, county, municipal, and federal agencies.
